I am a professional, self taught artist working on a full-time basis from my studio in Southern Victoria. For the past 9 years I have been selling works online and in galleries within Victoria. I primarily use mixed media on many levels and acrylics, thus producing different styles of work either as single canvas or large scale abstract pieces in multi-panel format.

After living in Melbourne City for nearly 8 years, I now reside on the beautiful, picturesque, Mornington Peninsula. The inspiration around me is endless! In less than 15 mins you could be taking in the morning sunrise by the stunning Port Phillip Bay and then find yourself tasting some the finest wines at a local vineyard and winery. Since moving here from the hustle and bustle of the city my art has changed. I find what I do now more me, how I used to paint years ago from a natural process of the mind. I often go for a long walk before I begin my work and when I get home, lock myself in the studio and create from the visions of that walk. I make sure I don't compromise the art with any of life’s little distractions by switching off the phone and putting on my favourite CD. From this, comes what you see. I was told once "It's impressive the way you employ Colour". I actually think the colour employs me, and I have to work for it, to bring out the best in what colour can give. Either walking and sitting by the cliffs down the road, or taking in the sights looking over the vineyards, I see colour combinations, day and night, too hard to resist bringing alive on canvas. So here they are...

In Adam's current works, he brings out the strong personalities in metals such as faux metallic finishes and fine metal leaf with a touch of colour and unusual surfaces to individualise his unique style. You see his personalised collection of the 'Oriti Signature Art' which has been a huge runaway success on EBay and as a commission. "I cannot believe my very own surname would become such a poignant part of my art history! Back in 2002 I created my 1st spontaneous painting in the form of my 'signature' - ORITI - A simple 'O' and a few squiggles '~~~' Now it is a staple creation of my works. Many, many buyers have bought my signature art from eBay and various locations around Melbourne and many more have been commissioned. This design has become my most popular design ever with over 500 sold since 2002. I have become very well known for it, so I guess you could call it my 'Signature, Signature Art'"This beautiful style and an eclectic use of colour and movement, shows originality in his work. Selling primarily through the internet he stays very busy with online sales and commissions. So keep an eye on him as he has plenty already in place for his future and don’t forget commissions are always welcome.
